Ghosties with the Mosties

Tomorrow is Halloween... I hope you're ready. I've been ghost-hunting lately... and with my new Ghost Radar App.. I discovered I have quite a few paranormal identities in my own old house. I'm hoping one of them is my grandmother, and not a scary random.

Always one of my favorite quotes. If we can put our past relationships into perspective, I think we can truly be grateful some of them didn't work out, especially the damaging ones. I feel particularly this way since getting married. If I hadn't gone through some of the things I did, I don't think I would appreciate who my husband is, and how incredibly rare he is.

Okay, so I guess maybe I should have made this easier on myself... let's do this. This is my new art blog, I'd love some followers. In return, I'd like to share my Halloween desktop illustration with you. So click on above, drag it to your desktop, then right click and it should say "Set as desktop background" or something along those lines. If you need to adjust it in any way, you can go to your settings or preferences and they'll give you some other options.

Happy Halloweener!

I was listening to Brene Brown on Ted Talks today who was talking about vulnerability, and this sentence stuck out to me. Basically what she emphasized was- people who feel they are worth something tend to feel accepted by society and by others, and tend to treat others the same. It was said that it is important to make sure our children feel they are enough, from the very start, and not some sort of "projects" or things needing improvement. This creates a sense of well-being and confidence.

I like little reminders like this. I tend to be a perfectionist and sometimes I forget that I am enough, just as I am.

Painting in process.

Halloween is really my favorite time of the year. I mean, what other time of year can you dress up?? I guess you can dress up whenever you want.. but when can you dress up with other people?  I think it's just a fun time of year.. candy corn, pumpkins, fall leaves, orange, crisper weather. Spooky, scary.
