Sktchbk Thames

Spent the day wandering around the (centre) of London today. It was beautiful. As we wandered around, in and out of Westminster Cathedral (not Abbey..Cathedral... one of my favorites) and went to the Abbey (which was closed) at the end of the day, it smelled distinctly like fall. You know the smell. The leaves, the colder air, mixed with a little bit of dust and earth. Leaves are everywhere. And I'm still finding a way to get settled- we still have a few weeks before we can move into our ' room with a view' (and it is one of those- just wait). But at least the seasons are in place, and I guess I'll have to just be alright with that.

Fall Drawing Class

Fall times call for quieter routines and more indoor activities as the weather get's a bit crisper.

 I always like sketching and drawing inside, with a cup of tea and some music on- 

and sometimes it's fun to learn how to draw new things too! :D

Here's a class (taught by myself) that you can sign up for. I'll show you techniques on how to draw this lovely mermaid. You can make it into a sticker, 

or just make a drawing for a friend or  for your own house.

Paris en Septembre

We're in London but took a couple days to go to Paris to pick up our cat ( who we had to send there with friends because directly to the UK costs more) but I just remembered those same fall months 4 years ago when I lived with a girl I hardly knew at the time- who lives there still with her now French husband- and I just had the time of my life. They were oddly unique months and a unique saison. We met up yesterday at Cafe du Flore and reminisced, as we often do, about that time all those years ago. I still catch glimpses of that humor and loveliness and happiness that Paris can surprise you with around it's lovely corners.

Sneak- Peek!

Here's a little sneak-peek of my new collection within My Little Belleville- featuring hand-painted Lover's Eye rings. Each ring is painted with oils, onto a gesso-ed and prepped canvas - custom sized and handcrafted by Malinda Fisher of Desert Rose Jewelry who will be creating one-of-a-kind settings. I will be painting miniature eyes, and other tiny paintings and pictures within them.
