The Plum Tree Monster + Chatbooks

Thursday, October 29, 2015

Super thrilled that Chatbooks is publishing my children's book, The Plum Tree Monster!
A perfect Halloween read for this coming weekend.
This story is about a recurring nightmare I had a kid, and it has a little twist at the end.
I love it, I hope you love it. (It used to scare me like nothing else!)
You may purchase your own copy here for £7.80 ($12)
or use the checkout button to the right of this page :)

Happy Halloween!

P O R T R A I T S

I've been spending most of my days doing commissions when I'm not designing products,
and I've been really enjoying it. I love the different faces I get to draw.
When I first began doing commissions a few years ago, I used to get really invested in getting the features perfect etc, but the more I do them, the more I relax and am able to capture the 'essence' of their features, and not worry so much about the exactness of them.
You may also get your own portrait here, starting at £22 ($35) per figure.

Ink study of some of the products I use.
I am not a high-maintenance person, but I do like a good kohl eyeliner and mascara,
as well as dry shampoo, and Aveda products.
A lot of the stuff I use is natural and I don't like putting tons of make up on.
I have found here in the UK that a lot of young women wear a lot of foundation --
and I think honestly it's because they want to appear tanner because there is no sun here!
Pale is pretty though! Rock it.

Face F/W Platforms

Thursday, October 15, 2015

These shoes are finally available in the shop! I have been trying to find a pair of platforms that I could sell that are actually COMFORTABLE--- the ones I shot for our F/W15 shoot (here) though looked amazing- were very badly designed. Clunky, my heel kept slipping out, and they were so heavy! So I had to find new ones to paint and sell. So here they are. They are lightweight (which I think is key for a successful platform) and easy on the foot. These run small though, so order a size larger than what you're used to for maximum comfort.
Bows sold separate :)
