The Dream Press Publishing Co.

The Dream Press interviewed me on their blog today. I am so lucky to be able to collaborate with such a rad publishing company. We'll be working on a book for this coming year!
I have been blown away by the caliber of talent involved with The Dream Press.
They are the same company who organized The Dreamathon this past spring.

Have a look at the article here (I loved the questions they asked me)
and follow them on instagram @thedreampress

Many thanks to them for the interview and feature!!

The Bamberger Studio || Group Art Exhibition

Saturday, August 16, 2014

I've been teaching art lessons to kids for about two years now. These are some of my sweet little students. I had a closing exhibition for them for all this past year's work. At times I have felt my teaching perhaps wasn't as great as it could have been, but seeing all of their art up next to each other, and seeing all of the raw talent and lovely expression- I couldn't have been a more proud teacher.
We did portraits, still-lifes, character design, t-shirt designs, comics.
So many different types of work and hours were spent making these beautiful pictures. I got to know each of these wonderful children, and hear their hopes and fears, nightmares, dreams, and jokes.
I adored the moments I could spend with them while they created and filled my studio with so much imagination.

Each of these little kids are special to me and I really hope they will continue making beautiful works of art. I think as we grow older, and become more self-aware, and insecure- we can lose our creativity that so naturally we were born with and unabashedly doing without even a second thought.
Other people tell us what we have to do, what we are expected to become.

Keep on creating, I told them, and don't be afraid to make mistakes with your art. It's within the mistakes that one finds that authenticity, and beautiful imperfections.

Andseven.com ONLINE CLASS!

Thursday, August 14, 2014

 I'm teaching a class!
 And it's online!
It's accessible from anywhere!
AND I'm teaching you how to draw mermaids!
And turn them into stickers!
WHAT!

Andseven.com is a beautiful platform to begin teaching worldwide. It is wonderful- the people who work for them (especially my dear Katharine Rodebush) are so passionate and such examples to how I want to view life every day.
I'm happy because when we move to London (next month!!),
I'll still be able to teach all kinds of classes from the other side of the world.

My class is only $8 and you can go back and learn at your own pace. You will learn how to draw a mermaid, and then turn it into something fun and utilitarian.

So click here to sign up!!
I am available for any questions you may have along the way.
